  9.          Here you close all pledges within a specified time period.
  10.          To remove all closed pledges from the pledge file refer to
  11.          chapter 6.5 "Clear Pledges". If you want to close individual
  12.          pledges refer to chapter 6.353 "Close or Open a Pledge".

  14.          To close pledges from the "Stewardship" menu:
  15.  
  16.          A. Select "Close Pledges" and press <Enter>.
  17.  
  18.             A message window will appear (we will assume the system
  19.             date of your computer to be May 5, 1991 as an example):

  22.       ================================================================
  23.       | This option will close all pledges with pledge closing dates |
  24.       |                  later than 05/05/91                         |
  25.       |         Proceed, Change Date, or Abandon? [p/c/A]            |

  28.             If you press <A> or <Enter> then no pledges will be closed
  29.             and you will be returned to the "Stewardship" menu.
  30.  
  31.          B. Press <P> to proceed with closing pledges,
  32.  
  33.             or
  34.  
  35.             press <C> to change the date.
  36.  
  37.             If you press <P> then all pledges whose pledge closing
  38.             date is prior to your computer's system date (most likely
  39.             today's date) will be closed, and you will be returned to
  40.             the "Stewardship" menu.

  42.             If you press <C> a new window will appear:

  49.             Enter the new date, so that all pledges with pledge
  50.             closing dates prior to this new date shall be closed, or
  51.             press <F2> to pick this date from the pop-up calendar, and
  52.             press <Enter>.
